So after reading 8 pages of "what irritates you", I was feeling a little grouchy, and it's too early in the week to start off on the wrong foot.

What HAPPYS you?

1.) Riding (durr!).
2.) Fat babies who look at you like they know everything ( cuz they DO!).
3.) Laughing until I lose my breath. Just give me a reason.
4.) Boiled lobster and just picked corn on the cob.
5.) Watching my daughter when she doesn't know I'm looking. I am so blessed.

Agreed, I was a little worried this week cause Man City has been doing good but with the late goal from Fabregas... I'm a happy guy

The fact that I get to start each day with a half-hour motorcycle ride!

Hmmmmm. What "happys" me???

Well...off hand I'd say almost everything, Paula...you Pollyanna you!

Well...almost everything that doesn't irritate me, that is!

(hey...isn't that the first sign of being bi-polar???!!!)

Now now, Ian! I ask you....Is it really a good thing to find yourself being "happy" over other people's "misfortune".....OF THEIR OWN DOING???

(no need to answer that, Dude! I'm kind'a "happy" myself about how this whole thing is playing out TOO!)

You've got some good ones, Paula.

Mine are:

1) Riding w/o traffic, in the Fall.
2) My 16 year old son. (Even though he thinks he can take me and probably could).
3) Max, my dog, or most any dog for that matter.
4) Friends that make me laugh until I cry.
5) Seeing small children play.
6) A shiny new Triumph motorsickle.
7) Huge Butterfly shrimp in orange sauce.
8) And cool icons on the BA.com web site.

Yeah...unfortunately, you're probably right, Al. This whole un-"happy" situation with that bozo is probably best thought of as.."the exception that proves your rule" here!

Looking out my window and seeing the 06 sat there shining away under the street light

My Guides (Girl Scouts) having a good time (they're the nearest I'm getting to having my own children - an hourandahalfaweek and then hand them back!)

A pic of my nephew sticking his tongue out

And just getting the grass seed to grow where I pulled out the weeds a couple of weeks ago!!!! it's about 1 1/2 inches at the mo...another couple of weeks and I'll be able to mow it!

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

It's all the little things. In no particular order:

- Riding (naturally)
- Riding with friends
- Riding alone
- Riding in Western Montana, Northern Idaho and British Columbia, with or without friends
- Wrenching on my bike and having it run afterwards
- Seeing my candy orange paint in the sunshine
- Thinking about the next paint job
- A cafe mocha from my favorite little local coffee shack
- Fragging (killing) my friends in Halo 2
- Playing Halo 2 Cooperative with my best friend
- Beating my buddy's full house with a slightly better full house after drawing him in and betting up the pot huge in our monthly poker game (and by huge I mean a few bucks)
- Hanging out on BonnevilleAmerica.com (most days)
- The early phases of projects with my side business, the strategy and design (development and testing, not so much)
- Listening to my podcasts (Adam Carolla, Tom Leykis, Dave Ramsey, Smodcast) or fiddling with my iPod in general
- Using Google Maps (and most other Google products)
- Feasting on a fat juicy steak off my best friend's grill
- Payday

Looking at all that I should be happier overall than I actually am.

We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday yesterday....She apparently told the dentist last week that she's "going for 100." How cool is that. May I love life that much when I'm 80.
Two years ago she had both hips replaced 4 months apart- she's one strong, beautiful woman- so now I tell her to just go wear those hips out. Which it appears she is intent on doing- volunteering at the elementary school this fall (she's a retired nurse) and this past year she helped care for a 42 year old woman who was dying of brain cancer- 2 x weekly until the woman went to hospice.

Anyway, she was telling me over YUMMY BIRTHDAY CAKE (which happys me) how she was watching some guy recently on PBS who was talking about the subtle but profound difference from being "nowhere" to being "now here.".

My beautiful mother (now channeling Ram Dass) happys me.

Having the wind blowing toward the feedlot when I go out for a ride.
Going out for a ride.
My horses greeting me and running to the fence for some petting when I get back.
Knowing that 'going to work in the morning' means walking out to the barn and maybe stopping in at my shop to putter around on the way back.
