Hmmm.....
Having got caught recently on a speed camera!! Yep I did, in my truck...gonna just pay it....I WAS speeding and probably more than I should've!!! The photos are clear, plate, 2 different photos of the truck as I head off, and one of my mug thru the windshield!! Yept its me!!!!
Guess I gotta watch it with my over-sized tires on the truck, makes my speedo read low!
As for the other stuff to try to avoid it in the first place...
Here covering your plate with something that obscures it is illegal. The cameras only capture images when they "see" a speeder, its still not motion pictures, in digital format (I saw it flash when I got snapped), so flipping the bird wouldn't have worked probably as it was a done deal already, and they don't take pictures unless your speed sets it off.
If I didn't have a plate, they wouldn't have known where to send the ticket, so I would have gotten away with the speeding violation, but would have surely been stopped somewhere along the way for not having a plate - don't know what excuse I would have used for that one....specially if it was laying in the back seat!!! I don't think they can impound vehicles for that here if the plate is valid.
So watch it out there guys......
The best way to avoid these cameras and tickets is to watch your speed. The one that caught me is set for 11 over the speed limit!!! I was doing 13 over!!!
