I've been an Elvis fan for a long time and he's ofter compaired to the Beatles as far a how important his impact was on the musical world. One of the better things I've heard on the topic was that Elvis was one man. If any one of the Beatles were in a room full of people and Elvis were to walk in, the whole room would forget that the one Beatle was there. So yes, I agree, Elvis could work a croud better than anyone I can think of.
