Update:
Got the big ugly cast off yesterday when I went for my first follow up. Now I have a removable one that allows me to begin to regain some flexibility in my ankle. I see the nice scar. It's about 10in long right up the middle of my shin. A very tidy little line. Still have the stitches, they come out in a few weeks I suppose. All other stitches removed. Worst part is still got some road rash that's healing up very slowly on my right elbow (as I keep bending it and reopening it up).
All in all I'm on da mend!!!
