they got me on 100 mg per day of atenolol AND 25 mg of hydroclorothyodyne (beta blocker/water pill) the BP is still a bit high but not where it was...no real side effects to speak of except the DRY MOUTH...but I understand your sentiment about not feeling bad...but that IS why they call it the silent killer...it has NO symptoms untill it's to late...if the meds are affecting you adversly, talk to your MD, but don't stop taking them...get him to find something else to controll it that doesn't effect you in some way you can't stand...
