no what I'm talking about is being the higest bider for a instant...

again...

the way the system works is this

the min bid is say $50.00...
you decide it's worth $150.00 to you...
you place your bid at the next required level $51.00 with a max cap of $150.00 ...the Ebay system registers the 51.00 bid...
some one else has decided to bid also they place their bid at $52.00...with a max Cap of $100.00 they system will register his $52.00 bid..then go look to see who has the next high bid...it will bid automaticly, up to whoever has the higher max bid...he stops at $100.00
You stop at $150.00...so it will take your max and bid ONLY the ammount needed to win the bid...say $101.00
leaving $49.00 "in the wings" for the next go around...
as a snipe bider I know I need to be the highest bider so I place my bid at $102.00 out bidding your $101.00 I don't know or care what your max cap ($150.00) is because if I time my bid properly the system will register my bid as the high bid ($102.00 VS $101.00) then it will go out to look for the next higest bidder YOU..your cap is $150.00...it finds you, and your bid and brings back a bid of $103.00...BUT its TO LATE..the auction has closed...and the last registered high bid is ME at $102.00
