I hear ya Thorn and understand your frustration but this is the evolution of eBay. I've been on there since 1999 and have seen the transformation. Some changes for the good, some bad.
Unfortunately, there is nothing wrong with sniping and it is actually the method of choice
now for a successful 'auction'.
