I have their spring compresser tool, so did it myself. Ridiculously easy job after shocks are off. Having had my 440s apart twice now, I'd suggest this approach. The only gotcha I know of is sometimes the tool is out of stock for long periods.

- Where do you set the rate now for solo riding?
Even with the shorter springs, they're currently set on minimum preload & haven't bottomed. One of the checks I ran was a stretch of 1 & 1/2 lane blacktop with a little bit of everything to offer including 1 lane bridges with the typically brutal approaches. I took it pretty easy & they did ok.
