I like the look of the shorter bar,but the longer would be better if you are going to be strapping some kind of pack to it, dont think your ladies height would matter much in regardes to either bar, if shes real tall though you may want to consider moving the passenger pegs somhow. My wifes only 5 ft and she complains about the pegs being to high somtimes.
