I got my wheels back today from the shop with new Avons mounted up. Maybe I should loosen the fork tubes in the yokes and retorque them. I was thinking about pulling the tubes anyway to dump the fork oil. I don't think it's ever been changed.

I always use the axle as my alignment square, loosen the tubes (not so much they slip around) and once the axle's seated and torqued I eyeball the trees and torque the tubes. Might not be by the book but it's always worked nicely for me.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)
