Just installed the 18 tooth sprocket on my Speedmaster, took it out for a ride and I'm smilin'. What an improvement. For my 165 pound body weight, the 16 tooth was just too low. I hardly notice any loss off the line in 1st gear and I get a lot more out of 2nd gear now. I'll have to get it out on the freeway here soon and see how it does at 70mph.
Thanks to Dinqua for the instructions on how to do the change. The only problem I had was getting a piece of wood that wouldn't "give way" as I was torquing the sprocket nut.
Also was happy to have finally adjusted my chain since it now has 3K miles on it. It was only adjusted at the 500 mile dealer checkup. If I knew how easy that was, I would have done it a lot sooner.

Good work, I can't imagine going back to the 17 tooth much less a 16 tooth sprocket. Even with 2-up riding the 17 tooth does fine.
