So the guy that BOUGHT a customized bike (nothing wrong with that) is argueing that people who MAKE the tid-bits for are bikes charge to much.

Seems a little ironic to me: Id say if you dont like their prices then make your own parts.

You sound like you know it all....perhaps you shouldve joined into the conversation back there...instead of just picking out sentences and talking trash.

Could you answer my question?

We all realize you took the defensive a while back, the point is...don't try to have an educated discussion on business practices & economic models unless you can back it up with solid points...everyone will see right through it.

My point exactly!

I'm not talking about knowing how much a front end costs on ebay. I'm talking about knowing where I came into the conversation before asss-uming I just jumped into the tail end of it.

to quote my first post which might have something useful in it

Quote:

It's basic economics. If you think the price is too high, don't buy it. If everybody thinks the same and doesn't buy it, the price will come down to meet what the market believes is a fair price. But with small manufacturers, the price can't come down, so if everyone thinks brent, eddy, boogie, bellacorse & british customs are charging too much, they'll simply quit manufacturing the products we desire and either produce elsewhere or go out of business altogether.

The fact that they're still producing for us & making a living doing it, tells us all that their prices are dead on and shouldn't be changed. If anything, their prices will only increase as the months go by due to their suppliers raising prices, and we will pay the higher prices. If you don't like buying small-batch custom parts, sell your Triumph...it's something you should have been aware of from the onset.

I'd like to see more manufacturers, so I have a choice between brent and someone else.

There you go, just for you.

All the rest is just ****** really, but thats the water we're treading right now

Excuse the sarcasm, I dont really think Im in a serious conversation right now. Im just going back and forth with 5 different people telling me Im wrong.

Dont mind my "haha's", I dont really ever type "lol" or anything like that to indicate that Im joking. And those smiley faces arent really my style.

Im sorry I misunderstood you...As you misunderstood me...I said you were jumping in the end of the thread after all the stuff (wojo, soren, me) had to discuss.

You came in on pg.2 with economics, back when we were talking

Then back on pg.3, assuming that i was ****** about not finding chrome parts for my triumph, you told me that I should sell it

the nothing for a while...

Then back on pg.8 with...."tom you dont quit"

Gosh. I roll on Red to visit a friend in the hospital and mister know it all aka asshat, aka brokenfixed, whom can’t even fill in his bio is still at it. Make your point dude and let it go. You are so weird. Maybe in person you would come across as a semi aby-normal type , but right now I think you should look in the mirror , open your mouth, tickle your vocal cords and just let it flow out till you are feeling better. A good cry will make things seem much better in the morning.

You are right. Huh? Right about me being moderately annoyed with you right about now. And in case your want to start a ridiculous argument about it, the pun is intentional brother. Keep your cynical attitude out of here will ya? I welcome, this site welcomes, and the majority of the members welcome discussions. However, as I wrote way earlier and because of that apparent nest of ants in your pants you couldn’t seem to get it, here it is again, restated with the original in a quote box.

You don’t deserve a lengthy repudiation of your bad behavior. I have moe impotent things to do. Feel free to post but please, be civil will ya? Jeez. Now go to your room and don’t come out.

AGAIN:

Quote:

Tom,

I wish I knew what your point is/points are. I could cut and paste pertinent phrases written by you but suffice it to say you are posting in circles.
Tim’s thread started as a lightly veiled call for us to get onboard the letter campaign regarding increasing the accessories aftermarket for our motorsickles. Now it has denigrated into you taking a defensive posture on who knows what.

Let’s put things back into perspective shall we? Lucky we are that an aftermarket exists at all.

P.S.: Thanks Phil for turning off broken(is he)fixed ‘s motor.
