I have a question/ Poll. What do you do with your riding jacket in the summer when you get to your destination? For instance if you ride to a bike show and don't want to wear your jacket when it's 80 degress out. Lock it to your bike somehow? suck it up and wear it? I know it's early to worry about this but I just got my Rocket III jacket and was wondering what the heck to do when it gets nice out. Thanks for any input

I went to Home Depot and bought some plastic covered cable, crimped some loops in the ends and carry a Master lock. I pass this through the jacket sleeve and through the helmet D rings. Small and light enough to carry in your pocket.

Depends on the venue. If it's bike orientated - there's often somewhere to check in jackets/helmets.
If it's just a town or nowhere with storage, take it off and chuck it over the shoulder.
I wouldn't risk locking it to the bike, unless it's on the seat. I see a lot of helmets chained to bikes (with the chain through the wheel usually) and I always wonder how many come back to the bike to find a dog has pissed on it ... ! Makes ya think!!

I did the coated cable thing too but I bought mine prefabbed from MasterLock. I put my helmet on my mirror, run the cable through the chinbar and through the handlebars and then through the jacket. The cable is coiled and holds its shape pretty well, so that if the helmet gets knocked off it doesn't go anywhere.

$10 bike cable/lock from Walmart, works great, coils up and stores neatly in my fork bag. I think mine is a Master brand.

In the summer, I wear a Joe Rocket Phoenix (the old, cooler style more like the current Rio). It's so good at moving air that it's actually cooler to keep it on after the ride in 100 degree weather than to wear a tee shir.

However, if I have to leave it, I use a cable lock through the sleeve.

This is the lock I use. I put my helmet or helmets on the mirror run the cable around the facemask then threw the sleeve then around the bars between the risers. I got it for $12.00 at Wal-mart not the $23 thay have on the web pageMaster lock

Thanks all. I was thinking about the cable with the lock but wanted to see if anyone might have had a bad experience or anything. Seems like no one did otherwise you wouldn't make the reccomendations.
