OK, finally got a dealer and saw a 2008 in Black. In my opinion the tank looks worst than in pictures. Perhaps the two tone paint scheme works, but the black was not at all appealing.
The dealer had a Suzuki Blvd a few bikes down and the tank looked identical including the long flat logo (except for the name). Changing wheels, rake, bars, and seats are OK to a degree but I agree the tank defines the character of the bike especially with the P-Twin. perhaps if they come out with a V in the future the tank would look OK but then would it be TBA?.
I'm not saying a slight tank re-do is not acceptable, just not this one.
