I had the same problem.(thick welds) I ended up drilling a bunch of 3/8 holes all around the baffle pipes, knocking them loose, pulling out, and what i could'nt drill out i knocked down as best i could(folded back). It's not pretty up inside but not many will be looking. got 2 out on both sides and she sounds great (for me)
