Ok, so to sort've re-ask the question... the 988 BB kit would be more than $3,000 installed, as compared to the $904 which is in the neighborhood of $1,000 - $1,500 ish?

Sheesh. I knew was more work involved but didn't know it was THAT much more between the 904 and the 988. For that sort've money, just go out and buy an old used sportbike (SV650) for your power kicks, and keep the Speedy for style.
