Biker, I like the Rocket. It's a blast to ride but that ain't no Tourer. That's a weekender, IMHO some people are looking for a Tourer to go coast to coast and back aging If one so desires. A fairing for element protection and all the amenities and a nice comfy seat and some stability for mom's derriere is a Tourer.
I think some are disappointed if this is what Triumph calls a Tourer. Once again just my opinion
Of course these are "spy" photos we are discussing and all this talk might be a moot point

Not for me, at least not but these awkward photos. I hate the original Rocket - the twin lights, humpbacked tank and think the pipes are just trying too hard to prove it's a triple. This exercise looks like everything the orignal Rocket isn't. In fact, it looks like they "America"-nized the Rocket. I bet it sells twice what the original did. This one has me very anxiously waiting to see it in person and is the first bike since my America to get my strong interest. I didn't even know Triumph was still in business when I picked up an America brochure brought home and left in a neighbors garage. Six months later, I bought one. We'll see.
