I get the distinct impression that our members from across the pond do not care for Sir Elton.
The thing is I used to like his music in the 70's when I was in my late 20's. I think I even have a couple of albums stashed away in my closet somewhere. But what he has become latley is something else. He talks about creativity but hasn't written anything new for years, and his concerts are just re-hash of his old hits. And the way he flaunts his lifestyle is rather crass. I liked him better before he came out of the closet. I am not a homophobe and work with people who are gay but I tend to agree with my Brit and Aussie friends that he is more or less a rich/famous "has been" with a big mouth.
