Oates,
I took the MSF course (in one weekend) back in February and then didn't even ride until I got my new TBA until late July. I was surprised how much I remembered from the course and how quickly I've improved on my new ride. I'm far from perfect but I'm pretty happy with myself and how much fun it is to ride my bike.
My biggest problem with the course and test was right hand turns. I still take them too wide. Left hand, no problem. I heard from my brother (long time biker) that right handed people do have trouble making right hand turns, hence the test requires it. I just need to feel more comfortable leaning to the right. But it will come.

Good luck next week , get your bike and then practice, practice, practice. That's what I've been doing.
