As you all know, the decision to buy my America was a decision between it and a Kawasaki Vulcan 900. Today, me and a buddy who rides a Vulcan 1500 went to Dickey's BBQ for lunch.

There were a group of 6 or so gentlemen sitting in front of the restaurant eating. One of them walks by us, notices my helmet on the table and asks "Which one of you rides the Triumph?" He asked how long I'd had it and such, and told me how much he dug it. He returned to his table, and as they were later getting up to leave, announced "Hey, there's a new Triumph over there" the entire pack of them then proceeded to walk over and fawn over my bike, completely ignoring my buddy's Vulcan that was parked two feet away.

An old timer that was with the group then came over to me and told me how much he liked the bike and all about the '67 BSA he rides to this day. The dude is a true english bike fanatic.

I felt a little bad for my buddy with the Vulcan, but told him he can replace it with the Triumph 1500cc when it comes out.

Oh, and Dickey's has probably the best onion rings in the world.
