I wish I'd read that "cush drive" tip before I took mine apart for its chain and sprocket set.....at 21,000 miles, there's a bit of play in mine.....looks like the wheel will be coming off again.....as far as skipping the changing of the front sprocket - once the rear wheel and chain are off, the front sprocket can be changed in just a few minutes....I think you should consider what its condition is going to be when the new chain is 10,000 miles old, not what it looks like when you renew the chain....$200 every 20,000 miles or so is pretty cheap maintanence...
