Rob shouldn't be the only one to have to make sacrifices in the spirit of NH Rally planning.... He shouldn't be made to suffer & struggle alone, zipping along the mountain vistas and twisty roads, toodling along the rivers and through the covered bridges, braving Crawford and Franconia Notches, mapping out our next summer's ride. We need to not be so darn selfish and step up and support our fearless rally leader by offering our physical presence and mental assistance in his undying commitment to showing us a wicked pissa time! (Stress on the mental )

Let's find out from Rob when he and Cathy have some free time- I'll PM him. (See how selfless I can be?) If it's this month, I'm good any weekend, but was thinking of the Britjam on the weekend of the 18th.
Labor Day weekend, I've got my daughter, but for a NH ride I'll make arrangements. (Darn, this girl needs to get off to college already. Or get old enough to get her bike and come with me.)
September I'd be good the weekend of the 8/9.
October 6/7/8 is Columbus day weekend. maybe that would work?
What are other people's availability? If enough people wanna do this, I'll see what I can do to get parenting coverage for Emily if the best dates don't coincide with when my daughter is with her dad.

I'd let you borrow my bike so you could take her with you but I don't know that you could handle my massive hp

+1 awww common Paula, your daughter will be a yute someday, if we don't teach her how to light her farts in a controlled environment she'll pick it up on the streets and that would be terible

The run I have in my head involves quite a bit of slab (some of which affords some unfkingbeliveable views of the Fraconia Notch region)..we would go RT93 north to 302 302 thru Bretton Woods and Crawford Notch to RT 16... RT 16 to Conway and then to RT 112 (the Kancamagus Hwy "The Kanc") take the Kanc back to rt 93 and slab home...
it is about 300 miles round trip factor in three fule stops and lunch and you got to figure on a 8 hour ride...that may be a bit ambitious for a rally but I want to scope it out
we may have to trim the 302 leg off but I don't want to cut out the Franconia Notch section of the slab (it can be done but requires a bit of back tracking via back roads)...all these things need to be settled in my mind before I determine which we will ride next year...this is not likely to be settled in one trip...but any who wish to join me for any of these are welcome...but it might be on short notice...

This would be a great ride.....and isn't that yummy BBQ place in W.Ossipee, just in time for our hungry tummies???....AND we'd get in great views of Mt. Chocura.

the 302 ride is specatacular too.....we could also take Bear Notch Road off 302, bypass Conway, pick up the Kanc, I forget whether Bear Notch Rd. is before or after the way in from Bartlett.
(Now I've got 3 rides im my head.)

I mean where is Bear Notch Rd. in relation to the Pass on the Kanc?

I thought I would throw up this ride for saturday. Kind of short notice I know. But the wife's friend is having a birthday party for their little girl (did I mention that said friend and I have hated each other since we were 12?) So anyway, I have saturday free and was wondering if Rob etc would be up for trying out this ride. The bride went for a longish ride today and I'm jealous.

I don't know Alden, just 'cause you detest your wife's friend shouldn't mean you have to throw up!

Dill- I can't do Saturday, I'm going to be riding locally. Let's keep trying to make this ride happen, though.
