According to the mechanbic that installed my belt system that's a sign that the belt is too tight. The problem with the belt drive is that we don't have a whole lot to go on as far as what's right and what's wrong for the set up. Try giving Ozzie a call. I purchased a belt tension gauge for 20 bucks from Harley. 5/16 to 3/8 applying 10 lbs pressure with a rider on the bike. You definitely don't want the belt loose.
