O.K. Help me out here what the heck is the difference between an ignitor and a coil I come from the 70's and my old bonnie had coils capacitors and points and I know they are ancient compared with the electronic ignition of my speedie but what the heck my hair is far more grey than brown nowadays so can I blame my age for not knowing

you igniter or CDI box is a little computer that takes in data (and current) and tells the coils when to fire based upon that data
