well i have had the carbs for about 2 months and say 3000 miles. i have finally got used to rolling on the throttle and have the jetting pretty close on the butt dyno. all in all i am very happy with these carbs, bike starts very easy, no popping out of pipes, and i get anywhere from 40-50 mpg. may have it dynoed in NH at the rally, we'll see.

I see your "rolling the throttle" comment on a couple posts. What happens if you just stab it?
2002 Bandit 1200/ GSXR cams/ 1277 BB Kit/ Holeshot header and can/ 38mm flatslides/ a good head/lotsa hp/lotsa tq- lots of rear tires...

depends where the rpms are. if i am from say about 3000 on up it is pretty instant. again the jetting is not perfect and i wont go crazy until i get my 904 done

The inherent problem with these carbs is that down low when you wack it wide open they pull so much air so fast the bike leans out.
This doesnt mean they do not perform, nor does it mean that you gotta baby it. I've had these carbs for about a year now and they really woke the bike up.
I'm presently toying around with a idea..I'll let you know how I make out here in this thread.

i got it dynoed today, 62.** at the wheel. i need to drop the main from 142 to 140 and i am all set. the bike runs better now with these carbs than it ever did with the stockers, peak hp i did not pick any up, but the whole band feels beter than ever and with i do the 904 and the heads i will be able to really utalize these carbs. my sheet will be posted with about 10 others (from the NH rally) within a few days

I get 30mpg on a good day, maybe 35

Isn't the built in acc. pump system supposed to take care of that part?!

In a perfect world yes it is. The problem with this is that the 42mm hsr carbs were designed by Mikuni for HD, in a 1 carb scenario. With the pumps enabled it simply sends too much fuel too the motor.
I am working on trying to get around this, time available to dedicate to this is limited, I'm making small gains, but the bike isnt where it needs to be as of yet.
