Anyone ever seen a bike with a ball peen hammer mounted on the side?....Ive seen it somewhere but now I cant find it. I just relocated my battery to fit under my seat and I got a perfect location to mount one right where the battery tray used to be. Ive been searching all over but I cant seem to find the bike I seen it on.
Any links?

You are joking right? That's like advertising that you're looking for trouble.
A pocket full of marbles is a little less obvious.
Just my 2 cents.

Well at least make sure it is solidly mounted to keep the curious from doing any damage and avoid hassles from the occasional LEO.

Well the bike that I seen just had a loop with the hammer dangling around and crap..haha...I planned on keeping it secure so it didnt fly off and take out some guy on a bicycle. Are you thinking some harley guys are gonna see the hammer and just give my tank a whack while im inside buying a big mac?

Have you considered using it as a jockey shift? That might look pretty funky and keep it from getting away from you.

Here in sleepy rural Alabama we had a drug hit using a ball peen to whack a DEA informant some years back in broad daylight at a flea market. The hit men waltzed up, bought a Chinese ball peen, snatched the snitch and as they drove off the witnesses watched them hammering through the back window. Not pretty. I'd really consider leaving it at home if you're not going to make it a shifter or some other permanent part of the ride. The local law enforcement never caught the hitters...

Billy Lane?...Ill check with his site
Jockey shift?...i want the bike to LOOK bad a$$, i dont wanna BE a bad a$$....hahah
I never really leave my bike in parking lots for long so Im not worried about riff raff, and if someone was gonna mess with my bike they would whether I had a hammer on the side or not.
I'd just rather mount some hammers on the sides rather than put saddlebags on there...haha

The ball peen hammer on a bike (commonly hung from the engine mounts on V-twin) was known as a "traffic cop" and back in the day when people on the road cut you off, you used it to hit their vehicle. I would imagine you would givew your bike a really old school look (to those who know what it means) but you could also be looking at alot of trouble. Not just from john law who see's you riding by but also from the FOD (foreign object damage). What if that thing rattles out and hits your chain? Thats bad news dude. But opinions are like A$$holes, everyobdy's got one. Good luck!

I'd like make a handlebar-mounted AA cell battery launcher, wipe all the fingerprints off the batteries, and make some sort of trigger device that I can still use w/ gloved fingers to launch the batteries 1-2'' over my head, straight up, and let wind and speed take care of the rest...

boozefighters got it right...just a piece to give it a little more nostalgia. (and daydreaming soccer mom repellant)Just gotta make sure its mounted pretty good, I dont plan on letting it jingle around...ahah
I dont see how its any different than painting flames on the side or using those spike bolts for everything. We all want our bikes to have a little personality...why go out and buy some sticker with a smart a$$ comment on it? Just hang the chrome hammer off the side and let it do the talking.
You all know that youd be mounting hammers if it was some trend like loud exhaust or chrome choke knobs...ahah

Front pocket or back? I guess it wouldn't really matter? I have an endless supply of steel ball bearings at my work. A bit too bulky to carry a mitt full in your pocket and my aim ain't great. I prefer to just move away from road ragers and keep it rubber side down.

That little fifth pocket on the right front. Right in front of a major blood vessel.

This thread wasnt for approval. I was asking if anyone happened to see a bike somewhere with a hammer mounted on the side, and if so did they had a link...I wanted to get some ideas on mounting it...thats all.

A pair of chrome ball peens would make trick fender stays on a bobber.

Yep, you're very welcome. A hammer themed Brit custom could be called "Mjolnir" and would be culturally correct since Britain was partial settled by Norse invaders. Yep, I have some ideas involving a Thruxton hammer...

That's starting to sound like an OCC theme bike for Craftsman.

I think if I had someone come up to me to say "yo man, I like the hammers....theyre so radical...its sooo OCC"...i'd have to ride a stock bike from then on..ahah

I saw a nice little Harley bobber, a few weeks ago that was flat black, wrapped exhaust, tractor seat and old sprockets of varying sizes as accents in different places, most notably a very short sissy bar welded on the back fender (no pillion seat, though). It was a very tough looking older bike and the owner was a nice guy.

perfect example to relate to the unused hammer on the side, is that sissy bar without the pillion pad...how did that become a thing to do?
oh and its looking like 4 pages and not a single link or picture....i definately gotta do this now...ahha

Brokenfixed, I found the build that you are looking for, the pic is at the very bottom of the site, it's at this address: Bitter End Choppers The way they mounted it is pretty cool, but one pot hole and I think may fall out!

I like the Brough style exhausts, very nice. Kinda adds a new dimension to the "streetfighter" concept.

I like all of the brass touches here and there. The primary cover is a great feature also. The best thing that brings it back is the magneto. If I could get one to fit on our bikes, I would!!
