I just received my new half helmet from Head Trip and just in time for my annual two wheeled sabbatical. All I can say is what took me so long. This thing is half the weight of my old half helmet and more compact. Rather than a skid lid it is DOT approved and is actually comfortable to wear. If you're looking for a good light weight half helmet, but something more than a novelty item check them out. Head Trip

I have to agree, I bought one a couple months ago for a ride I was doing, some of the southern states I was going through mandated that I wear a bucket on my head. I don"t often wear one. (the door is now open for my flogging by the safty nazis) they are light, comfortable and easy to stow

I just finished a 2500 mile run using my Head Trip half helmet. The thing is fantastic, it's like wearing nothing at all weight wise. This is the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned bar none. Antone looking for a half helmet really owe it to themselves to check them out. Somethings are just worth the money. This is one of them.

hey Shakey,
i just posted a link to the same helmet manufacturer not realizing they also went by the name of Head Trip. I ordered a DOT 1/2ie today.

looking forward to getting it. Nice to see a few other BA.com members riding with them as well.

I just replied to your new post. More riders should wear them, but the price may put some folks off. I don't mind the money if the helmet lives up to its hype, and this one does. They're going to introduce one with a neck apron this Christmas. When they do I'll probably pick one up.
