Change in style was not necessarily for the better. In 69 Triumph made the brilliant move and told the Ogle Design company that it wanted to go a different direction in the design of the bikes. The result was the God awful Bread box tank and the even more atrocious raygun mufflers. They took a awsome trident triple and ruined it and it flopped in the states. It also lacked the techs of an electric starter, disk brakes, and a five speed gearbox but it also was a butt ugly bike! So much for design change.
