I've also been tripping car alarms lately when I pull alongside to park. My pipes have about 30% of the packing removed, covered with the wirescreen. It would be just as simple to re-wrap with more insulation, there seemed to be plenty of room for additional material if the owner wished. My HD neighbor said the other evening, "your new pipes sound great". Told him they were the same pipes from last year just modified! I still think mine aren't as loud as many HD's I hear and MD doesn't seem to be bothered with motorcycle sound levels yet. I've heard small PA towns have been getting tough. All I have to do is keep it up into a higher gear and go easy on the throttle, they'll pick on those other guys.
