Suzuki had a range of air cooled triples, GT 380, GT 550. Yamaha had their XJ 750 triple I think it was an XJ), also aircooled. Very nice bike as well. Kawasakis 250, 500 and 750 were air cooled triples, and im sure there are others. Admittedly most of these are two stroke. But i dont see it being a problem. I dont think the question is can it be done, i think its would they want to.....probably not.
