Finished my little clean up job on the rear sprocket.
Plated nylocks & flats from Gardner Wescott.
These are actually a bit heavier fastner than the stock flange nuts.

While waiting for the new stuff to get here, I had polished the yellow off of the original ones.
They came out real nice.
Don't know how long they'll stay that way.

That's way cool Bill, I've been wanting to do that for a long time now. Can you forward the size and pitch and info on where to get them (Gardner Wescott)?. Thanks T

Looks great. Looks like I get to rip-off yet another good idea. Yes, part numbers please.

M12-1.25.
P/N, nuts - 17963.
Washers - 23991.

Gardner-Westcott Co.
Northville, Mi.
800-521-9805.

Ask for Rick, an A-1 individual.
He'll take your credit card and set you up an account.

He'll probably ask if you need a catalog.
If not, you may want to remind him.
The catalog may take a while, but they'll send the parts on out.
It's the automotive one.
MC catalog is a dealer-only thing.

Shipping charges are their actual USPS amount.
generally <$2.
Beats Ebay!

I don't want to sound like a smart ar*e, but those nuts are not in safety. You should have one or two threads of the bolt protuding out of the nyloc nut.
If I did that at work I would get a nice big pinapple presented to me from the boss, and if the nut came undone I would lose my job. However it is your motorcycle, so you can do what you like.

Anyone else work in the aviation industry?

I was really worried about the clearance of those exact fasteners and my chain adjuster when I got my bike so I levered the chain adjuster out a tad. How's the clearance with yours?

I think they're ok.
The fit is about the same as the flange nuts.
The lock grabbed way before they tightened up.

Ok.
Can't say exactly what the clearance is, but no contact.

Hey Bill, How long did it take to get your order? I placed an order with Rick about 2 weeks ago and they have not arrived yet? Thanks T

Might oughta call him & see what's up.
I've ordered from 'em 3 times & I think they shipped same/next day each time.
