I just bought a used '02 TBA. You will not regret getting a Triumph! Even the guy i bought it from rides a HD Road King for the police...he said the TBA is a better bike.
The look is better and cooler, it's fast and got plenty of torque, and the ride is great. Re-sell value will be better.
If you have to, wait until you have the extra $ to buy a Triumph. That's what i'd do anyway. Try to take a ride on one if you haven't already, then you'll really find out.
