and maybe they'll retaliate, and since my Bonnie is no match for a GMC Suburban, I'll take the high road. Don't get me wrong, I DO believe that, as Larry says, the root of the problem is lack of consequences for poor behavior, BUT, unless I'm somewhat equally armed (i.e. in my car), I'm going to think twice about venting on someone in a vehicle 6 times my weight! Just as there are people out there who simply aren't paying attention, or are just plain stupid, there are also people out there who are just plain a-holes and will decide that even though they cut you off or whatever, YOU are the problem and THEY need to get even. My wife was with me once at a traffic light, and it changed to green and I didn't BOLT out of the starting position fast enough for the jerk behind me, so he started honking. Well, she decides to give him a New York salute, and he proceeds to follow us for quite some way, until I ducked into a mall and lost him in the parking lot! Yeah, it probably would have been more fun and gratifying to just get out and "talk" to him, but then he might have felt more gratified to plug me because he skipped his anti-psychoses meds that day...
