Don't know anything springs but I was thinking instead of cutting springs how bout getting a set made up that are a bit shorter with preload will it affect your shock internals,if not I know a bloke that makes car springs it would be worth the effort to make up a separate set of shorter ones and still keep your shock springs.
Just a thought, been wanting to ask that question for a while but I thought it sounded dumb, if it could be done someone would have done that before.
