I guess this has been done to death but how many of us to blue, dead horse on a dogs eye, jumbuck lovers are here and how the flippin h#ll( Alf Stewart from "Home and Away" eat your heart out) do we get away with half the mods mentioned here. I run straight thru mufflers , (no baffles) yes i live in Vic, and an air box removal kit and my local cop loves me, we may as well date as i see him more than my wife

I live in Brisbane and have a similar setup to you, Shorty turn out pipes and k&ns. Ive had it like this for about two years now and havnt been harassed by the law yet. Just luck i spose cause it is #%&*^& loud.

Quite a few , I'm from Brisbane and visit & post a bit - all I can do at the moment - in between jobs. Great Forum good advice & lots of custom ideas & great bunch of blokes & shielas from all over the world.

Im in sunny Sydney. Well about 50kms west of the city. Great site. Havent had any trouble with the law yet but ive only had the speedy 4 months. 3 baffles out. Its not too loud but it is nice and deep.

here in the se corner we have our fair share of good roads from the goldcoast hinterland to the sunshine coast hinterland mine you our share of crap as well like mt glorious all in all not a bad place to be

Well Guys and Girls I am in Bendigo my bike is that loud she sets off car alarms ( that may be why no-one likes riding behind me) and the local boys in blue love me I recieve letters in the mail a bit to get my baby tested for noise levels, I love how loud she is but wow it gets old fast always swapping mufflers.

I'm an Aussie every 3 years or so....and even know where to borrow a Speedy from...  And I love some of the roads in the extreme south east of Qld... but don't ask me where they were - I was lost at the time. I'd gone from Coolangatta to go and meet Matt (Sandmann) but didn't wanna do the highway. Went to find a road, didn't, saw a sign to a place that had too long a name, but was on the road I was aiming for, so took it.

Yep, Got a sangroper here, going for a lil ride over the east coast to cairns n back in october ( via bathurst race), about 15/16,000 kms or so in 7 weeks, that should loosen the new speedy up, hehehehe, chears all, Tadpole

Newbie here, living in SW Sydney. Got me an '07 America in March and slipped on a set of after market slash cut pipes, re-jetted and re-tuned. Has a nice growl but not enough to annoy the local constabulary (I think).

From Newcastle ...Lake Macquarie,I possibly have the oldest America made Oct 2001.I developed some mods back in April 2002 that gave me an increase of 20hp when Dynoed at Broadmeadow.
Went on the Dyno standard at 45.5hp at the rear wheel and when I was finished about 2 hours later it was running 64.5hp at the rear wheel.Looking forward to the worlds biggest rat ride on 10/11/12/08/2007 .leaves Hexham Maccas at Friday 0930 for a run to PortMacquarie ,already up to 350 bookings for the biggest Triumph RAT ride ever.A search of the archives will show you what mods I have done.

Sounds like a good ride, Ade, Dalesford is a great place, spent a bit of time there years ago - bit cold at the moment no doubt. Is the Swiss Mountain Hotel thereabouts still having insane Saturday nights

Really cold down here at the moment Hoffo, and Dalesford is probably one of the coldest places in the state, but it is a great ride. Dont know about the Swiss Mountain Hotel, but it is a great place to visit in summer.

Hi all, saw this thread and thought I'd put myself there in the mix. I'm from Canberra and bought a 2005 Speedie from Pro Cycles Sydney last September. Without exageration I had no idea what this purchase was going to do to me. I'm not kidding, I just love my bike to death and already have spent close to $5000 improving her and put 14k on the clock in 10 months. For interest, here's a photo  Anyway as well as commuting, I've had 3 large rides including an interesting one coming home along the Pacific when the floods in Newcastle hit. Holy dooley was that interesting but you know what, Misty (my Speedie) never missed a beat once. BTW, I would have looked at going on the Rat ride in August but my leave passes and bank book are looking lean at the moment. Maybe we as Aussie Bonneville members can look at something in the future, say tacked onto a Rat ride or whatever. Just an idea?  Cheers all
