Kevin has that new Victory of his. He still loves his Speedie...but I bet when it comes to riding with his wife and some luggage over the road he opts for the Victory more often than not I bet.

Thats my .02 cents.

Thanks Kev. Very true.

Here's the thing: the Victory does everything better than the Speedmaster. There's no substitute for massive low-end torque that comes with a big cc cruiser. You twist the throttle and you GO! And even though it weighs about 135 lbs more than the Speedy, it handles better, even at low speed turns.

That being said, the Speedy is still fun to ride, especially solo in the 35-60 mph range, with a nice smooth engine. You can only hope Triumph nails it with the big cc cruiser and basically makes a Speedy on steroids.

Also, having ridden the Rocket, I found it to be a hippopotamus on wheels. A completely unpleasant experience unless all you want to do is go very fast in a straight line or be able to say "I have the largest production motorcycle in the world."

Just my 2 cents.
