With that logic, wouldn't a 3000cc bike do it even better?
It's a moot point though. There's always people who are not satisfied and will upgrade. I say, go for it! I'll stick with my underpowered, inadequate BA and keep grinning!
Well...3000 CC might be a bit of overkill. But for the purpose of fully comfortable two up cruising ....keeping up with the traffic on the slab ..steady 75 to eighty miles an hour or more for days on end. ....
Using two Trumpets as an analogy......A Rocket 3 can easily run with a two up 450 pound load and run at an honest 85 miles an hour and not as much as think about breathing hard.
Now...will ours? They will pack that added weight and they will run at 80 miles an hour but the comfort and stability of the much higher horsed bike and its inherent added weight is just going to do a better job stability wise. That added displacement makes a big difference.
Its like the difference between a sedan with a four banger and a sedan with a big V-6. Both will pack the weight but the V-6 will be a more comfortable over the road vehicle in the long haul.
Kevin has that new Victory of his. He still loves his Speedie...but I bet when it comes to riding with his wife and some luggage over the road he opts for the Victory more often than not I bet.
Thats my .02 cents.
