Okay, well that just looks loud now doesn't it? That would look really evil with black headers and silencers...

it's lowered and gaitored too, this baby is about as custom as it gets! lol, j/k. maybe i'll cut the fender off tomorrow to make it more custom... can a mod please move this to exhaust or delete it?

and before anyone starts complaining about how stupid the fork tubes look w/o the upper shrouds on, i'm just waiting for the bushings to come in for the chrome shrouds i have.

Interesting you mention the gaitors with no upper shrouds thing. I've been mulling that over in my head a lot lately for my bike.

it looks kind of dumb in person due to the fact that the lower clamp is huge and the tubes are so skinny. i'll take a before and after shot for you when i put the chrome uppers on...

The only part I dont like (same on many other bikes too) is the back end. With short pipes it seems like something is missing at the back end. I think maybe its the swing arm design.
Otherwise its cool enough.

yeah, i think it looks kinda dumb with the short pipes too, and they scrape like crazy when cornering with the shorter progressives in the rear. i'm gonna take them off tomorrow and put a set of my new 2nd generation "boom cans" on it. more on those later...

Shorties on these bikes don't look good, IMO. I agree Z, something is missing with short pipes. I believe longer pipes 'fill in' the rear area. Case in point:

I'll pass on the short pipes. I think they'd be better a bit longer but I LOVE the gators. keep up the good work. modding is FUN! LOL

Short pipes look great - possibly a bit shorter so they're level with the back of the frame ?

i like the shorter pipes, but i do see that theres an empty space between the rear tire and where the swingarm meets the frame.

my pipes are a tad bit longer so it sorta fills that space in a bit

Okay, how about chrome, chrome peg hangers! It's just lacking a bit of balance front to rear...by that I mean it doesn't easily draw your eye along the lines of the entire bike...that's what's sparking the remarks about the longer pipes. I like where you're headed, keep modding

yesterday i added the chrome "single seat finishers" in place of the passenger peg hangers, R3 foot pegs, and some slick useless mirrors...

I like the look of this one. What was involved in moving the passenger pegs. Is it just a plug and play or did you have to do some drilling?

Plug and play? Yup. Reomve the plates and the bolt for the hanger. Replace with the footpeg. I had to add a washer to get them in the right position. Took about 2.5 Kgs off the bike. The Mrs says its a much better foot position for her.

The Plug and Play is just my nerdiness coming out.

How do you keep them from spinning after moving them to the lower peg hanger bolt hole?

I used three nylon washers and that was the magic number so that when I cranked them down real tight, there is where they ended up. They do not move.
