With me, I didn't have any problems with my wrist or forearm, I could just rest my palm on the throttle (especially now with the big fat Küryakyn Grips!), but being able to stretch my shoulders and neck without having to pull over every 30 miles made the big fat o-ring worth it. As mentioned in other posts, my pain was just behind my collarbone at the top of my back (the tendon that connects the shoulder and spine), which felt like a knife plunged in, especially on the SECOND 600 (12 hours at 75 plus gas/food stops) mile day on my trip up north! Sorry, but with that much pain, the ride no longer becomes enjoyable, if you're distracted by the constant stabbing pain in your back! Yeah, I want my bike as simple mechanically as I can get it, but I can compromise a little if it will allow me to ride it longer AND enjoy it!!(isn't that the idea folks?)
