Calgary would be closer than Edmonton by 200 miles. I sure hope what is happening with your bike is not that serious and/or ugly. My Speedmaster also is not a smooth sounding shifter but I though (not owning a triumph before) it was the way it was. Keep us updated as it sounds like others are having the same sounds.

But if you do come as far as Edmonton, just let me know and I can show you some good riding roads (though not as good as the Kootenay)
