I wondered too, but I saw one at the Kootenay Raid. They're round spacers. I'd planned on using some 3/8" square stock to eliminate my sissybar but still keep my luggage rack. It's a toss as to which one would be easier to fab up real quick. Probably the round spacers with the right tubing.
