Yesterday I was cruising around at lunch, and since it's been hot here, I was riding with the visor of my helmet up. Well, what do I then see coming at me - a nice large bug, I'm pretty sure it was a bee/wasp, it hits my raised visor and bounces INTO my helmet.

I thought it bounced back out, but next thing I know, I'm seeing movement out of the lower right of my peripheral vision - but if I look that way, I can't see anything - but looking straight ahead I can just barely make out the movement. This goes on for 10 seconds or so, then I start to see it in my normal vision - at this point I've slowed down a bit and I'm shaking my head trying to get the dumb thing out, but it holds tight to the helmet liner.

And of course it only gets worse; it crawls across my sunglasses, up onto my forehead, and is apparently enjoying the view from my head. I couldn't take it anymore, I rip my glasses off (bending them in the process) and manage to get the thing off me. All while riding of course.

I think this tops the bee that flew up my sleeve last year and stung me on the elbow - luckily that one happened right as I was backing into the parking spot at work. But I still had to have someone pull the stinger out.
