Did you beat up your old pipes, or are they still in good shape. And if they are, what did you do with them.
Thanks very much!
This is my first real bike. I have had two very low speed laydowns, one on the left, the other the right. The one on the right was on my way home from the dealer. It had rained, the roads were slick, tires had just a few miles on them and I came up on a stoplight. The laydown on the left was again at a stoplight. My brother, on his scooter, was a little slow in pulling away, I was still in 2nd coming up slowly behind him. The bike wobbled and down she went. Fortunately, in both cases, my pride was hurt more than the bike. No damage to the paint. The stock pipes got scratched up and beat up. But I wasn't too worried, since they were going to be replaced by the Bubs.
I'm hanging onto the stock pipes and the AI gear, just in case I ever might need them.
But now I feel more comfortable on the bike and the hand-foot coordination. I'm no expert but I have improved. And cruising around with those Bubs is so much fun!!! I now feel respectable.
Although I am still trying to come up with a good Welsh name for her. Steve
