Do people really have meaningful lives if they don't own motorcycles?

I would say almost certainly YES. Not everybody likes motorcycles, and im sure those who dont would argue with till they were blue in the face that they have meaningful lives.

Personaly, my bike is a toy. I enjoy riding it and ride it when ever i can, but if it went away tomorrow it would not be the end of the world, just a sad day. I have so many things going on in my life and so many things that i enjoy that the bike is only a small part of it.

Example.
Play with children or ride the bike. No contest, bike stays parked.
Watch Arsenal play or ride bike. No contest, watch the Arsenal.
Watch the F1 race or ride bike. No contest, watch the race.

I enjoy riding, but i equally enjoy driving cars. I have always had a love for cars. I get so much enjoyment from driving my car though the country with the roof open, a/c on cool and great sounds comming through the speakers. Not to mention that riding a bike in 100 degree weather flat out sucks. Just as it can be to cold to ride, so can it be to bloody hot. And if someone wants to call me a fairweather rider, so be it. I've done my time riding in snow and sleet. 10 years of London despatch riding is enough for any one.

And, as i have stated before. If someone was to offer me a Jag E-Type or a Ferrari in exchange for my bike. I would jump at it and not think twice.

So in answer to your quesation. Yes, i have and would continue to have a very meaning full life. With or without the bike.
