Yea ...I think people have meaningful lives who dont own or ride scooters. Some of those peoples are "Dancers"

I know lots of really good ...(some astoundingly good) dancers and I always tell them that there are strong parallels that link riding and dancing in terms of enjoyment and that strange sense of good karma we all get whether it be from riding or dancing.

At times a good partner dance can raise the same feeling of pure fun that I get riding on a twisty two lane well maintained road.

Partner dance requires good connectivity between the two (follower and the leader) as well as good execution of technique and sound musical timing.

A motorcycle dance is similar in that the leader (rider) gives input to the follower (the bike) in metered timed correct doses of throttle , clutch, subtle weight shifts, countersteering et al to bring out the best possible dance.

The only key difference is that our bikes have a set level of aerodynamic performance and handling whereas in a partner dance both leader and follower may have variable levels of performance, experience , musicology, and rythm and timing.

How fast and with how much confidence we can ride as leaders in our scooter dance is all up to the degree of skill we attain as leaders.

I know a few people who are not professional ball room dancers or swing dancers but there entire lives are wrapped around dancing. They live to dance and dance to live like a lot of bikers ride to live and live to ride.

No doubt.
