Welcome Pensfan, I must admit I bought mine without a test ride, but I did sit on it and the mrs jumped on the rear, the riding position was enough for me to say it was sold.
Hope you get your test ride, the dealers in the UK push you all the time to test ride, problem is you would have a garage full of Triumphs and be in debt up to your arm pits
