Well, it's new to me. '02 TBA with around 6k miles. I've been lurking these forums and have garnered a great amount of info. Thanks everyone! Anyone give me any info on this particular color and the American flag motif on tank and front fender?? Hope these pics appear.

The tank and fender are an expensive(about$800)option. Always remember-the red ones are the fastest. Congrats!

nice bike! don't believe these people that tell you the red ones are faster. It's really the black ones that are faster, we just don't want everyone to know. p.s. When you discover the easiest way to clean the spokes on the rear wheel, could you let me know please? ta enjoy!

Looks real nice even if it is red. You also got some chrome after market stuff on it and those look like Bub exhausts

Thing is everyone with a black one DOES know we are the fastest, and we know that everyone without a black one is jealous...

Patience.....and an old toothbrush. Oh and a stand that allows you to turn the back wheel freely!

06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel...

Cycle Trader, here locally in OKC. I had just started looking and there it was. I was also looking at one at Performance Cycles that had a BB Kit. But, this one just appealed to me more aesthetically. Seems pretty darned fast as it is anyway!

Thanks guys! Yes, i've read here about the different levels of fastness by color. That's what the owner said..that it was around 800$ option. I didn't see this color listed in the Triumph Paint Codes for '02...just a Cardinal Red. This looks more like the Mulberry Red, but i haven't see that color in person...(unless that's what mine is, that is) =========================================================== The only info i can give you is the, be careful. The red ones are known to be much faster then the other colors Welcome to the site. You have a beautiful machine. Thanks man! Yup, i've already discovered the pain of cleaning those rear spokes. I did get a bike lift from Sears and that helps quite a bit.

Thanks! Getting all the extra chrome definitely helped my decision on getting her. Your're right, those are BUB's. There was a good swatch of molten boot leather on the left side. But my wife used some EZ-Off and scrubbed my Bub!

Thanks! You noticed the bell! Yeah, it came with the bike so i figure it's been good luck so far. I like 'gremlin bell'...i'll use that if you don't mind!
Well, supposedly there was some work done on removing something from there. There was some rejetting done when the BuBs were installed. I need to dig into it and see what's been done (or not done). I've done a lot of posts reading about the AI.

Thanks! I already have a little roller stool so that does really help. Hey, i've already started to spend! I've already done an order from Brent. I added a kickstand pad, a choke knob, chrome idler knob, chrome front brake resevoir, tailblazer bulb and have the mudflap girl cable holder and upgraded horn on backorder. I can see it's going to be never-ending on buying new jewels for her! A windshield and a backrest for the lady is uppermost on my have-to-have list. Then maybe i can get new grips, mid pegs, and, and, and....

What is Triumph thinking limiting the color range dramatically on the 07 models , don't know bout the States but over here in Aust. the color brochure is Phantom Black, Phantom black/sunset red . Phantom black/Tornado Red . Pacific blue/ new england white. What ever happened to the good looking green and great red like the one above. Seems to me as though they've narrowed the consumers choice to either Black with a splash of red or blue & white , and while i'm in a bitchin mood why not make the mags an option as well, i'm ole skool and I still like my spokes Hoffo.

If I were a betting man, I'd say OKC is Oklahoma City, and a BB kit is a Big Bore Kit, but, as I'm not a betting man, I'll let the OP answer your questions.

That is really nice looking for a red bike. There is a reason though that they call the color of mine JET black. You will notice that there is a bit of rivalry here about paint. There has to be something to argue about when everyone here owns the best bike made. I noticed yours still has the air injection system installed. If you get this kit http://newspeedmaster.com/html/ai_removal_kit.html and remove it, you will be glad you did. If nothing else, the sparkplugs will be easier to reach.

Nice! So you got the fiberglass bags as part of the kit? Did you also get the matching color rear fender as well? Your's is the only other one i've seen. Thanks for the info.

Black looks very cool on these bikes! So what's giving it away visually that it has the AI still installed? Is it the hose/line by each spark plug? I noticed that and how much it's in the way of the plugs. I'll definitely do the AI removal, i'm still in the learning process of these bikes.

Thanks Fillo! If any of these other colors are any faster then i would have to stay clear. This one has enuf speed for me...at least for now. I used to ride a Yamaha XS1100 Special. I thought that was fast (and it was). Maybe it's just been so long since i've ridden but the Triumph actually seems like it's got more oomph. It definitely has more look and attitude.

Well if the red ones are fast and the black ones are fast and everyone with those think they are fastest I guess mine and those like mine must be fastest of all since they are red and black!

Hey churchkey look in the Rides and Rally section. You need to think about coming to the ARK/OK BA.com rally Sept. 7-9. There are 3 of us already from OK. going. 4 if you count Hill who lives near Ft. Smith. Then all those TX guys,(yeah I know, us Sooners generally don't like to associate with Texacans, but I guess we have to let them come since Nuthin and T-Max are planning it. ) Yota from Ky. and Skillett from AL.
