The fender is a custom fabbed trailer fender. The tail light is a spartan style that is readily availalbe.

Looks like a JC Whitney trailer fender that's been chopped.
Oops, Wrong-O, wrong catalog from memory...try this: Northern Tool

I took my stock fender and cut it with a die grinder and it looks the same...less money and everything lines up as advertised. I'll take a pic and send it to ya.

Best looking black girl around! 2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around. Jeff

Is anyone making a distinction between keeping the fender mounted to the frame (like I assume Jeff did) and mounting it to the swingarm, as Case did on that bike pictured above?

Nobody makes them. YOU have to fab them up. Get some round bar and some bolts and maybe some flat strap to make some tabs and a welder and have at it.

Update: This might get you started:

Trust me, even at nearly twice your age my mother still questions why I modify my bike. Or, "Why did you buy that particular bike if you have to change it so much."

If not your mother, it's your wife/fiancee/girlfriend.

If you haven't already, look at the Harley's new bike with the 240mm rear end. The 2008 Rocker C. I think that the rear end of this bike resembles it a bit.

Does anyone have any ideas for really shortening the fender like this (without the chrome fender struts) without having to cut off the part of the frame immediately behind the upper shock mount? (I hope that that makes sense.)

I agree with your Mom! Why? These bikes are beautifully engineered, and they're gorgeous. Wait till it's old to bob it out. For now, buy a cheap rice grinder and whack away,

It'd be hard to use those struts cause they'd mount to the swingarm and have to travel up and down with the suspension and would want to move the fender too right? YOu'd have to make the fender float with the rear tire moving up and down wouldnt you?

thats the reason why are struts are mounted out from the frame and away from the swingarm.

Hey, you asked where to get Bruiser's fender. (Whoops! It wasn't you who asked, but that's what this thread is about.)

It's mounted to the swingarm. Chopper builders do this all the time, you just have to make sure you have enough room for tire expansion. Usually they use chunks of fuel hose wrapped around the tire lengthwise. So does certain years/models of Kawasaki Drifter (there's one sitting out in the parking lot right now like that). Here's the fender the way Case originally had it:

So, in review, careful what you ask for.

Yeah ive seen this done, mostly on hardtails cause theres nothing to worry about. That swingarms gotta be pushing that fender up and down while going down the road. Unless the fender is mounted on a pivot hinge of something like that. Seems like the guy wanting to do this should know about that fender flexing like that.

I met the guy who owns it at a local bike a couple of months ago. He'd just moved out here from Michigan or Minnesota. I told him about this site, but I don't think he joined.

Is that a little tool box or something mounted to the peg hanger spot?

Those are the Harley type chrome tool boxes some around here have mounted, only they're painted black.

Click here for a thread with a few options for the Harley type tool boxes. Cheapest I've seen are the ones at Jireh Cycles for $34.95 each(part # 5-91). However, quality can vary for these.

And click here for yet another thread about the tool boxes.

You're right, it does blow. Should have known Jireh Cycles wouldn't link to the page. Just type in...tool box...into the search criteria box, and then hit the blue search button on the right side of the page.

No category, just do it the way I said above, and make sure tool box is 2 separate words.
