Hey People.
Well I got my Thunderbike pipes last week and I gotta say I'm happy with the result. It took around four days for the pipes to cross Australia. The pipes were well packed and arrived in primo condition. The fitting was accomplished without drama although I found the instructions a little odd, me and Stu thought they wanted a washer between the muffler and the bracket instead of the bolt and the bracket, also the instructions called for turning the idle screw anti clockwise...for me it needed around half to two thirds clockwise. No drama
The sound is excellent, after tweaking the idle screw and a little on road tweak its done. There is a bit of popping coming off throttle but its ok. This is what a Triumph should sound like, not loud enough to universally offend but loud enough to alert the world of my presence, although trimming the baffles looks like a simple job for those who want to offend a larger section of the community. The tone is on the mellow side as is the volume compared to my mates V&H shorty piped Deluxe.
Recommended. Now for the freak and the tune.
