Also, we use fully synthetic oil in our bikes. I hope you used this kind, and not regular motor oil.

Speaking of oil, the first 500 mikes should be the break in oil and then switch to the synthetic motorcycle oil. good luck with the dealer.

Stating the obivous here... I was worried about the same thing when I first checked out my new TBA.. panicked to say the least!
I know if the bike is on the side stand you really don't see any oil in the sightglass.. you need to have it level (again, a centre stand would be helpful with this TRIUMPH) and have someone else look at it or have them hold it level.
Just my 2 cents

DON'T DO IT!! I would def not take delivery of that machine. Even that short of a distance can do some serious damage to the engine. Also during the first 500 miles they use a different break in oil in the engine, not the fully synthetic.
